Just two months into his second term, the president issued an executive order aimed directly at eliminating one of the biggest threats to American safety: violent illegals. More to the point, the thugs who make up Tren de Aragua (TdA), the “designated Foreign Terrorist Organization with thousands of members” with origins in Venezuela that “have unlawfully infiltrated the United States and are conducting irregular warfare and undertaking hostile actions against the United States.”
Trump promised us his administration would get them off our streets and out of our country. He’s making good on that pledge.
On Wednesday, Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche announced that eight of these terrorists who, of course, crossed the border during Joe Biden’s open borders free-for-all, have been arrested for “vicious kidnappings and murders in separate cases out of Texas and Illinois.”
BREAKING: @DAGToddBlanche just announced the arrest of EIGHT suspected Tren de Aragua gang members who entered the country illegally under Biden and went on to commit “vicious” and “heinous” crimes.
“Eight allegedly illegal alien members of Tren de Aragua foreign terrorist organization are being charged with vicious kidnappings and murders in separate cases out of Texas and Illinois. These violent murders should never have occurred in the first place because these men should have never been allowed in our country.
Instead, 8 TDA members from Venezuela came here illegally, all 8, every one of them, during the Biden administration, and went on to allegedly commit the heinous crimes described in the charges discussed today.”
Blanche provided details about some of the horrific crimes committed by TdA terrorists. He mentioned that in 2024, four men murdered a father, then kidnapped his 13-year-old daughter and 12-year-old nephew. Five alleged members of TdA have since been arrested in connection with these crimes.
In all, more than 350 of these TdA terrorists have been arrested during Trump’s second term. They have been charged with several violent crimes, including sex trafficking, weapons charges, “drug trafficking, robbery, ATM jackpotting, and other widespread financial crimes.”
AAG Blanche also stated that the recent devastating earthquake in Venezuela has not hindered or interrupted the Trump administration’s efforts to bring TdA terrorists to justice.
“It’s a horrific tragedy, and I think at a time when over the past week, 10 days, a lot of the effort we have been entering into has been to save lives and to help the communities there recover, I view that as a separate track from the work we’re doing here to combat TdA,” Blanche said. “Whether they are here, in Colombia, or Venezuela.”
Keep it up, Mr. Acting Attorney General.
